'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane reduces on Premier League return

Kane celebrates his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has revealed that his enthusiasm in coming back to the Premier League has faded and he is open to discuss a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is at the moment halfway through the four-year contract he inked when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the transfer window of 2023.

The veteran forward has netted an remarkable 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German club, contributing them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which was the maiden major achievement of his illustrious career.

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has previously stated that he would be pleased to see Kane come back to England, where he needs 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring record of 260.

However, the England captain has now clarified that he is no longer as eager about returning home as he earlier was, and would seriously think about prolonging his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of extending longer, I could absolutely see that," he stated.

"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be prepared to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so unfolds and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have learned in my career is that different options and different periods happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the historic top scorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the fastest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five competitions, securing the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a trophy had escaped him until he lifted the German title last season.

Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would respond after breaking his trophy wait, but now thinks it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
